The ST100 Air/Gas Thermal Flow Meter has thermal dispersion technology and is designed for the measurement of air, combustion air, oxygen, natural gas, synthesis gas, methane, and many other process gases. It has a fast-response, direct mass flow sensor for close ratio control at combine cycle gas turbine (CCGT) electric power generation plants. The direct mass device is installed in the process control loop to allow operators to achieve a direct ratio of control without any corrections for pressure, temperature, or density. The flow meters are not only applied on cold, fresh-air intakes, but also at preheated or combustion air feeds to the gas turbines. The ST100 measures the mass flow rates in line sizes from small 1-in gas pipes to large 2000- x 2000-mm air inlet ducts, and it is compatible with operating temperatures from -40 to 850°F (-40 to +454°C).
