Another site to check out is GridWatch -- for the power industry. The website (www.gridwatch. com) is divided into three main sections: power generation, power markets, and transmission and distribution. Of particular interest to the Plant Engineering audience is the Plant Operations and Plant Maintenance segments of the power generation section. These segments are further broken down and linked to contact information and, in some cases, the participating company's own website. Under the Plant Operations segment are such categories as instrument calibration services, performance analysis software, operators, performance testing and analysis, personnel training, safety services, safety systems, software, and weather services.
This website also has a nice search function if you are looking for a more broad or specific subject (such as electrical or water).
