CBS News highlights Skills Gap issue

Wisconsin manufacturer's plight a focus of story

A report on the CBS Evening News brought further attention to the growing Skills Gap issue in manufacturing. The report focused on the efforts of a Wisconsin manufacturer to continue to grow his business and his continuing problem in finding skilled workers. When asked what he’d say to people who contend manufacturing in the U.S. is dead, Paul Raucher of EMT International, a maker of digital printing presses, replied, “They don’t know what they’re talking about.”
