“This is a major milestone for our company, as it represents our commitment to building our products in the United States,” Mike Knapek, president and chief operating officer, said during an Oct. 5 celebration at the Buffalo Grove plant. “While we are certainly a global player, our manufacturing presence is heavily focused here.”

Producing product in the United States gives Yaskawa America the ability to deliver quickly when our customers need it. “Yaskawa America has outperformed our competition with quick deliveries even with the recent component shortage issue due to the Japan earthquake,” Knapek said.

“We benefit greatly from the work ethic of our employees and the commitment they make to making quality products on time for our customers.”
