Siemens sets new warranty standard
Siemens Industry includes three-year warranty in low voltage power distribution portfolio.
Siemens Industry Inc. has announced that it will be the only electrical distribution product manufacturer to provide a three-year warranty included as standard on its lighting panel, power panel, busway, and switchboard product lines as part of its new C3 Customer Confidence Certification program.
By setting a new standard for electrical distribution products, Siemens is lowering the total cost of ownership while increasing the overall value its customers receive.
The new C3 Customer Confidence Certification program is automatically included with the purchase of a wide array of Siemens electrical distribution products; there are no fees or sign ups required. As part of the C3 Customer Confidence Certification program, the three-year standard warranty from shipment doubles the industry-standard 18-month warranty and covers all Siemens factory-assembled P1-P5 power panels, SB1-SB3 switchboards (including factory-installed Access power meters and TVSS), and Sentron busway that ship after Oct. 1, 2009.

But the year started with global economic turmoil, as a slowdown in Chinese manufacturing triggered a worldwide stock hiccup that sent values plummeting. The continued plunge in world oil prices has resulted in a slowdown in exploration and, by extension, the manufacture of exploration equipment.
