SGCC deployed 181 billion USD into power grid upgrades
China’s largest power grid network operator, State Grid Corp of China, deployed 1.2 trillion CNY on updates over the last five years.

State Grid Corp of China, the country largest power grid network operator has deployed 181 billion USD on domestic power grid upgrades over the past five years.
SGCC said the 181 billion USD is larger than the combined domestic power grid network investments from 1949 to 2005.
SGCC, which operates 88% of China's power grid network, sold 2.7 trillion kW hours of electricity and achieved sales revenue of 227 billion USD in 2010. The company reported a profit of 6.8 billion USD in the same year and hopes to boost that figure to 11 billion USD by the end of 2015.

2012 Salary Survey
In a year when manufacturing continued to lead the economic rebound, it makes sense that plant manager bonuses rebounded. Plant Engineering’s annual Salary Survey shows both wages and bonuses rose in 2012 after a retreat the year before.
Average salary across all job titles for plant floor management rose 3.5% to $95,446, and bonus compensation jumped to $15,162, a 4.2% increase from the 2010 level and double the 2011 total, which showed a sharp drop in bonus.
