The FP0R Series from Panasonic Electric Works is a compact micro PLC with 0.08 micro sec step processing speed and many motion functions available in dedicated motion controllers.
The device provides 16 or 32k steps program capacity and 32k words data register, equipped with built-in general purpose memory for backing up of all the development source code with notes, comments, variables, etc. Its processing speed is up to 0.08μsec per step (when executing programs up to 3K steps). The FP0R comes standard with 10, 14, 16, or 32 I/O models and is expandable with the standard FP0 expansion units (up to 128 digital I/O points). Annual Salary Survey
After almost a decade of uncertainty, the confidence of plant floor managers is soaring. Even with a number of challenges and while implementing new technologies, there is a renewed sense of optimism among plant managers about their business and their future.
The respondents to the 2014 Plant Engineering Salary Survey come from throughout the U.S. and serve a variety of industries, but they are uniform in their optimism about manufacturing. This year’s survey found 79% consider manufacturing a secure career. That’s up from 75% in 2013 and significantly higher than the 63% figure when Plant Engineering first started asking that question a decade ago.
