Encapsulated transformers line expanded
AutomationDirect's Hammond line of HPS Fortress commercial encapsulated power transformers are now available in 100 VA up to 25 kVA ratings and input voltage ranges of 120 V ac to 480 V ac.
AutomationDirect has expanded its Hammond line of HPS Fortress commercial encapsulated power transformers. The single phase units are now available in 100 VA up to 25 kVA ratings and input voltage ranges of 120 Vac to 480 Va c. All units are e ncapsulated with electrical grade silica sand and resin compounds to protect the core and coils, sealing out moisture and airborne contaminants and eliminating corrosion and deterioration. The NEMA 3R enclosures reportedly meet or exceed NEMA and ANSI standards for indoor and outdoor applications, and are UL and CSA listed as well as CE approved.

2012 Salary Survey
In a year when manufacturing continued to lead the economic rebound, it makes sense that plant manager bonuses rebounded. Plant Engineering’s annual Salary Survey shows both wages and bonuses rose in 2012 after a retreat the year before.
Average salary across all job titles for plant floor management rose 3.5% to $95,446, and bonus compensation jumped to $15,162, a 4.2% increase from the 2010 level and double the 2011 total, which showed a sharp drop in bonus.
