Commissioning workshops announced
ACG's CxA workshops and webinars have been scheduled for the rest of 2013.
ACG has announced the 2013 schedule for its CxA workshops and webinars. The next CxA Workshop & Exam will be held Saturday, June 22, 2013, at the Crowne Plaza Denver. Future 2013 locations include Washington, D.C., Los Angeles, Philadelphia, and New York City.
ACG's webinar is on Thursday, July 25, 2013, at 2:30 p.m. EST.
The 5-hour CxA Workshop includes discussion of the commissioning process as described in the ACG Commissioning Guideline, as well as insight on skills, strategies, and communication and documentation protocols essential to applying the process to "real world" projects. The workshop also provides excellent final preparation for candidates taking the ACG certification exam, which is administered to approved candidates that same afternoon.
Each offering of the workshop and webinar is AIA CES approved for continuing education learning units. The CxA workshop counts as 5 LU/HSW/SD Hours, and the webinar counts as 2.5 LU/HSW/SD hours. All attendees will receive a certificate of completion following the workshop or webinar.

Before the calendar turned, 2016 already had the makings of a pivotal year for manufacturing, and for the world.
There were the big events for the year, including the United States as Partner Country at Hannover Messe in April and the 2016 International Manufacturing Technology Show in Chicago in September. There's also the matter of the U.S. presidential elections in November, which promise to shape policy in manufacturing for years to come.
But the year started with global economic turmoil, as a slowdown in Chinese manufacturing triggered a worldwide stock hiccup that sent values plummeting. The continued plunge in world oil prices has resulted in a slowdown in exploration and, by extension, the manufacture of exploration equipment.
