Commissioning workshops announced
ACG's CxA workshops and webinars have been scheduled for the rest of 2013.
ACG has announced the 2013 schedule for its CxA workshops and webinars. The next CxA Workshop & Exam will be held Saturday, June 22, 2013, at the Crowne Plaza Denver. Future 2013 locations include Washington, D.C., Los Angeles, Philadelphia, and New York City.
ACG's webinar is on Thursday, July 25, 2013, at 2:30 p.m. EST.
The 5-hour CxA Workshop includes discussion of the commissioning process as described in the ACG Commissioning Guideline, as well as insight on skills, strategies, and communication and documentation protocols essential to applying the process to "real world" projects. The workshop also provides excellent final preparation for candidates taking the ACG certification exam, which is administered to approved candidates that same afternoon.
Each offering of the workshop and webinar is AIA CES approved for continuing education learning units. The CxA workshop counts as 5 LU/HSW/SD Hours, and the webinar counts as 2.5 LU/HSW/SD hours. All attendees will receive a certificate of completion following the workshop or webinar.

Annual Salary Survey
In a year when manufacturing continued to lead the economic rebound, it makes sense that plant manager bonuses rebounded. Plant Engineering’s annual Salary Survey shows both wages and bonuses rose in 2012 after a retreat the year before.
Average salary across all job titles for plant floor management rose 3.5% to $95,446, and bonus compensation jumped to $15,162, a 4.2% increase from the 2010 level and double the 2011 total, which showed a sharp drop in bonus.
