The Baldor•Dodge Raptor elastomeric coupling adapts performance benefits of traditional natural rubber tire style couplings to a mounting platform that is significantly easier to install and maintain. For longer life and increased reliability, Raptor uses a patented, finite-element optimized winged elastomeric element design. Raptor's WingLock technology increases surface area at the most critical regions of the flexible element, resulting in higher bond strength, improved fatigue resistance, and up to 5.9 times longer life than competitive urethane designs. A maintenance-free, non-lubricated natural rubber element results in misalignment capabilities and up to 50% lower torsional and bending stiffness for improved vibration damping.

Extreme, efficient motor
The Baldor-Reliance RPM XE motor platform is a hybrid motor design that provides plant operators greater energy savings and performance. The platform achieves two to four levels above NEMA premium efficiencies, using a traditional induction cage to start and permanent magnets to pull the motor into true synchronous speed. The entire platform is designed for across the line operation to maximize efficiency performance but can also be run as a motor and drive package, still meeting IE3 efficiencies. The RPM XE platform is available in two design configurations, a power dense and standard NEMA frame.

Motor control center
The FlashGard arc-resistant motor control center (MCC) combines arc-preventive and arc-resistant technology within a single unit. The solution is designed to emphasize prevention, insulation, and isolation to support safety during routine maintenance operations. Unlike conventional MCCs, the patented FlashGard design enables units to be disconnected and reconnected to the vertical bus with the unit door closed; maintaining a dead-front barrier during maintenance operations helps enhance operator safety. The solution also incorporates the RotoTrack racking mechanism, which is designed to provide bus isolation, stab indication, and lockout features to proactively prevent the initiation of an arc flash event.
The medium-voltage SC9000 general purpose (GP) adjustable frequency drive (AFD) is designed to help customers support energy efficiency, reduce ownership costs, and enhance power system reliability. The GP drives are designed for a wide range of original equipment manufacturers (OEMs); water and wastewater; utility; industrial; and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) applications. The SC9000 drive combines innovative technology with a simplified design and construction, system flexibility and ease of use. The drives are designed to help customers choose the solution that fits specific application requirements. The SC9000 GP has a low part count topology and is standard-equipped with a redundant cooling system to help improve reliability.
Direct drive motors
ETM M-Series direct drive motors significantly reduce product costs while increasing energy efficiency, flexibility, and performance. Unique electromagnetic motor technology provides wide adjustable low speed and high torque capabilities to eliminate the need for a gearbox in applications such as conveyors, fans, pumps, and packaging equipment. ETM direct drive motors provide 80% to 92% efficiency usable torque and speed at the output shaft since there are no gearbox losses. This higher efficiency can reduce losses by 60% to 80%. These compact and lightweight motors can provide output speeds up to 1,000 rpm and output torques from 40 to 1,800 in. lb.

Efficient motor, inverter combo

Arc-resistant drive system
The Allen-Bradley PowerFlex 7000 drive system with ArcShield technology was developed to support the increasing requirements of the electrical safety programs implemented by industrial end users. Combined with an integrated, arc-resistant Allen-Bradley Centerline starter, the offering provides a fully integrated, arc-resistant, starter-and-drive system. ArcShield technology redirects hazardous energy and gases created from an arc flash event away from personnel. This helps reduce safety risks and protect equipment in heavy process industries, such as oil and gas, mining, power generation, and water and wastewater treatment. The arc-resistant system is certified to meet the most stringent and comprehensive set of global arc-resistant standards.

Stiff shaft motor
The 6813 frame 2-pole stiff shaft motor allows induction motor users to operate a motor and drive application up to 5,000 hp without concern related to sub synchronous speeds. The stiff shaft 6813 frame allows for operation on a variable frequency drive (VFD) over a larger speed range by designing out the critical speed and saves the customer time and money. With the 2-pole stiff shaft design, users can operate in a wider speed range, creating more application flexibility and system efficiency. A modular enclosure design concept provides more options to meet the application requirements; available in WPII, TEAAC, and TEWAC enclosures.
High-speed induction motor
Siemens’ high speed induction motors offered in 500, 580, and 680 frame sizes feature standard motor components in a different way to allow operation at a fixed point above 3,600 rpm. One of the benefits is there are no highly specialized components like active magnetic bearings or permanent magnet rotors required in the motor design. Offering a motor design without these types of specialized pieces allows for easier and more familiar service and maintenance when compared to other high speed technologies. This product has a modified ventilation or cooling circuit to eliminate excess motor heating while operating at speeds up to 6,000 rpm.
Vertical solid shaft motor
The Simotics LP100 vertical solid shaft motor exceeds standards for efficiency, reliability, durability, and flexibility. The fully API 610-compliant motor makes for reduced cost and downtime due to motor maintenance. The angular contact thrust bearings are located in the non-drive end of the motor where they receive maximum cooling from the motor fan. Users can more easily re-grease or even change these bearings because of this design. The Simotics LP100 motor has minimum guaranteed efficiency ratings that exceed both NEMA Premium and Dept. of Energy (DOE) requirements, translating to higher energy savings and reduced total cost of ownership.
