Circuit breaker remote-racking system
The CBS ArcSafe RRS-3 Compact NS remote-racking solution is designed for Compact NS low-voltage-power circuit breakers. It allows technicians to remotely rack in or out the Compact NS-style low-voltage-power circuit breaker from up to 300 ft away while remaining stationed outside of the arc flash danger zone. This feature can reduce or eliminate the need for arc flash hazard suits, since it eliminates all hazardous manual contact with gear during operation. Powered by the CBS ArcSafe RSO-IV control console, the Compact NS is compatible with all Merlin-Gerin/Schneider electrically operated Compact NS breakers housed within the withdrawable circuit breaker chassis.

Arc-resistant low-voltage switchgear
Eaton’s low-voltage switchgear technology is designed to extend Type 2B arc-resistant ratings with the breaker secondary door open. Providing centralized control and protection for low-voltage power distribution equipment, the switchgear is engineered to improve uptime for data center, oil and gas, mining, utility, and other mission critical industrial applications. The two-part design allows personnel to access circuit breaker secondary terminals, control switch, and indicator lights with the circuit breaker door closed while retaining the arc-resistant rating. This feature has been made available for both front- and rear-access arc-resistant low-voltage switchgear to allow users to minimize the footprint of electrical distribution equipment while maintaining the highest safety standard.
Electrical metallic tubing fittings
The Crouse-Hinds series painted electrical metallic tubing (EMT) fittings are available in seven colors to accommodate a wide range of circuit-identification needs. Typical applications that use color for identification include: fire alarm circuits, low voltage, intrinsically safe circuits, voice and data, and different voltages. Painted EMT fittings provide savings and simplicity in material handling by eliminating the need to receive, handle, store, and move colored EMT conduit pieces. Painted EMT fittings consist of set screw and compression styles in insulated and noninsulated versions. Although red is the most commonly used, white, blue, green, yellow, black, and orange are also available.
Ferrule fuse blocks
Eaton's modular ferrule fuse block portfolio features products designed for Class CC; 10- by 38-mm supplemental; photovoltaic; and Class H(K), J, and R fuses. Incorporating an innovative snap-together design, the series provides tool-less assembly of multiple pole blocks at point-of-use to save inventory and reduce assembly time. Additionally, these fuse blocks feature a compact design that minimizes the footprint, allowing for the most efficient use of panel space. The ferrule fuse blocks make it easier to apply fusible overcurrent protection from control and lighting circuits to heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment and industrial machinery.
Conduit, cable steel connector
The Crouse-Hinds series Quick-Lok Pro line is designed to improve productivity for electrical-construction contractors when connecting conduit and cable to boxes or enclosures. The 3/8-in. steel single connector is engineered for use with a wide range of armored, metal-clad, and flexible conduits and comes with a distinct snap-in feature that provides for tool-free installation and removal. The durable steel design of this steel connector is ideal for health care, universities, governmental facilities, and other applications that require or prefer steel fittings. The fittings are reusable and are manufactured with an insulated throat design, ensuring added wire protection and a smooth pulling surface.
Air circuit breakers
The Eaton series NRX air circuit breakers are designed to meet the needs of global low-voltage power distribution applications with a compact size that minimizes nonrevenue-generating floor space, and a modular design and common accessories that allow for easy panel and switchboard integration. The solution fits within existing UL 1558, UL 891, and IEC structures with one frame size that helps reduce drawing conversion, structure-integration time, and parts inventory. The unique two-stage stored-energy mechanism with remote-close capability increases contact pressure to lower contact resistance for improved thermal performance, and has been tested to 20,000 mechanical and 10,000 electrical operations.
The CLiP-LV current-limiting protector defends workers and equipment against arc flash and overcurrents. When the protector senses a fault, it quickly opens the bus bar, transferring the current to a low-rated current-limiting fuse that interrupts the fault. Rapid action dramatically reduces the magnitude of the peak let-through current and system energy, protecting workers from dangerous arc flash and equipment from costly failure. On a 4,000-A circuit, the CLiP-LV protector clears a 30,000-A fault within 5 to 10 ms. Typical applications include mitigating arc flash, protecting overdutied equipment and bus tie closures, and overcurrent protection of system components such as circuit breakers, generators, transformers, and capacitor banks.
Arc flash relay
The AF0500 Arc Flash Relay improves worker safety and reduces costly downtime by detecting developing arc flash and sending a trip signal in less than 1 ms before damage occurs. The arc flash relay and sensors are plug-and-play for easy retrofit into existing switchgear or pre-installation in new equipment with little or no configuration. Even elaborate systems only take minutes to configure using the relays' built-in USB-interface software and innovative digital inputs/outputs. In addition to quickly bringing safety to the switchgear, the AF500 combines zone tripping, tie breaker tripping, upstream breaker tripping, and unrestricted scalability into one product, allowing the user to easily customize to system needs.
Electrical-component purge system
The Bebco EPS 5500 purge system simplifies operation of electrical components within hazardous locations with a fully automatic, globally certified solution. This compact purge and pressurization system offers fully automatic monitoring and control capabilities in a single, globally certified unit. Through a menu-driven user interface, the 5500 series allows users to easily set up the system for their specific application through a series of pre-programmed options. This allows the system to be effortlessly implemented for gas or dust applications without extensive technical knowledge or know-how. Users also have the ability to predefine set points for automatic control of temperature and pressure inside the enclosure housing the electrical equipment.
