Worm gear reducer
The Baldor-Dodge Tigear-2 Ultra Kleen is a right-angle worm gear reducer for the food, meat, and poultry industries. Featuring stainless steel construction, innovative sealing technology, and a maintenance-free design, this gear reducer is capable of withstanding tough washdown environments. Tigear-2 Ultra meets the principles of Sanitary Equipment Design (ref. AMI Foundation, January 2015 edition). Some key features for sanitary-equipment design include: AISI 300 series stainless steel construction, curved product surfaces designed to eliminate water pooling and to be self-draining, laser-etched gear-reducer identification to provide both sanitary and permanent product identification, and a gearcase surface texture that does not exceed 125 µin. for ease of cleaning.

Remote racking solution
The CBS ArcSafe RRS-3 HK allows technicians to remotely rack in or out ABB/BBC/ITE type HK medium-voltage power circuit breakers from a safe distance while remaining stationed outside of the arc-flash boundary. Installation and operation of the RRS-3 HK is quick, simple, and does not require any modifications to the existing equipment. The RRS-3 HK is compatible with all types of HK breakers manufactured by ABB, BBC, or ITE with current ratings from 1,200 to 3,000 A. Typical applications of breakers include electric utility generation and distribution systems, industrial plants, commercial buildings, hospitals, municipal pumping stations, wastewater treatment plants, transportation systems, and pipeline stations.

Arc-resistant medium-voltage drive
The SC9000 EP is a fully integrated arc-resistant medium-voltage drive certified to CSA C22.2 No.22-11 and witness-tested to C37.20.7 through extensive assessment at a third-party laboratory. The drive allows customers to achieve energy savings while reducing facility downtime and enhancing personnel safety. The solution was engineered with arc-fault-detection circuits to prevent the possibility of an arc fault upon powering the drive. Eaton's patented inverter encapsulation and short-circuit protection technologies help prevent fault propagation and limit arc-fault energy. The SC9000 EP is designed with a robust arc-resistant Type 2B enclosure to provide the strength needed to resist the forces of arc events and provide worker protection.
The Smart Ground Monitor provides users with instant feedback on shaft grounding performance in diverting shaft currents away from bearings to ground. The monitor utilizes a simple interface that alerts users if there is not optimal contact between grounding brushes and the shaft. If contact has been interrupted, routine maintenance can return grounding to peak performance, preventing bearing failure. The Smart Ground Monitor has external ports that can be connected to an oscilloscope for safe and convenient readings. Stand-alone mode allows performance to be checked at the equipment while auto mode allows performance status to be relayed for remote monitoring and system integration.
The Extreme Duck Ultra's design ensures that liquids won’t penetrate in any mounting position, and the motor is easier to install and connect because of unique-colored leads. Key features of the Extreme Duck Ultra include a proprietary shaft seal, standard dual voltage and dual rotation, encapsulation process to ensure complete filling of the motors and curing of the epoxy encapsulation, all stainless steel exterior, nameplate information permanently etched into frame, conduit box on TEFC motors that rotates 360 degrees, inverter-duty IRIS insulation system, and corrosion-resistant coating applied to rotor.
Cooling tower motors
Marathon's line of totally enclosed air-over (TEAO) cooling tower motors are equipped with AEGIS bearing current-protection rings for use with variable frequency drives (VFDs), adjustable-speed drives (ASDs), and inverters. Designed for 10:1 VT or 20:1 CT VFD-operation, they have MAX GUARD Class F insulation. AEGIS rings channel VFD-induced shaft currents away from motor bearings and safely to ground, protecting bearings from electrical damage including electrical-discharge machine pitting, frosting, fluting, and premature failure. Internal installation of the rings protects them from the extreme temperatures and chemicals found in cooling tower applications and other severe air-over environments.

Servo-, induction motor control drive
The Kinetix 5700 drive provides servomotor and induction motor control from a single platform for large machines with high axis counts and power requirements, saving cabinet space and reducing configuration time. The Kinetix 5700 features dual-axis servos and a power-dense design, enabling machine builders to realize up to 70% cabinet-space savings. DSL feedback ports support single-cable technology and can help reduce motion wiring requirements by as much as 60%. The Kinetix 5700 also combines high-performance vector and servomotor control to help reduce machine complexity and reduce time and labor costs during integration.
