Windows Vista – Another Mandate from Microsoft – You got the patch yet?
January 22, 2008

I have been using Windows Vista for some time now with much angst. It doesn’t matter if I configure a program for compatibility mode or not just like all Microsoft products Vista has a mind of its own! Vista plays God of my computer and only allows me to “innovate” as it sees fit. I’m tired people!

I know you will say that I had a choice to stay with XP or go to Vista. I was foolish and chose the latter for which I am paying for daily! I remember the days of seamless three dimensional designs with Autodesk Inventor and Solid Works on my XP machine then I decided to get the latest, the greatest operating system in the world. Vista my friends is a flop, a proverbial reincarnation of Windows ME lest we forget the trademark ®.

Personally I am sick and tired of Microsoft dictating to me! Like the liberal politicians feeding me their rhetoric of social reform I am tired of Microsoft being the “leader” in the free world. Personally folks their software is a substandard patchwork of libraries that clog the modern computer’s pipes with garbage just to look “cool”. Screw “cool” I want productivity. Yeah the Vista sidebar lets me know the time of day, the day of the week and the temperature at home but who gives a rat’s posterior! I want productivity!

I find it humorous that the great Microsoft actually copied, yet plagiarized an operating system that got it right the first time http://www.apple.com . Yet we were all led to our computer deaths by standardizing on Microsoft all in the name of interoperability of course.

We lead the world! We set the standard and when we selected Microsoft to be our messenger we limited our true ability to innovate. Ever notice how the old Redmond Washington outfit is always playing catch-up? When they are not playing catch-up they are buying out the competition and putting them in their graves in order to over-inflate and regulate their sub-standard software.  Can you say “Fox-Pro” http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Visual_FoxPro

Yep I’m tired people! I’m tired of hearing the Harvard drop out cry about is inability to innovate. Go spend your money Bill leave us alone and let the world get back to center. Take care of your philanthropy God bless you for it! And I mean it! As for Microsoft its time to level the playing field!

We are engineers. We make the decisions. It’s time to get outside of the box and force Bill’s bedfellows to play fair! Ever booted a Linux machine? Ever felt that much power and control over your own world. What about that pour ingenious sap that coded a snippet to make your Open Office Macros work seamlessly with Microsoft’s weak offering! No he is not poor; he or she is a king!

I want a choice! I want more than Microsoft has to offer! I want more than a “service pack” I want something that works right the first time! I deserve it I have paid you enough money already.

I am ready for a Mac filled with Inventor and Solid Works. I am ready for a Linux machine in which I have total control over MY, yes I said MY system. When I buy your software it belongs to ME! Yep just like a car or a house it is MINE!

Did you know… that the first plane to circumnavigate the world without stopping was designed on a Mac? http://architosh.com/news/2001-05/2001-0511-q&a_aircraft.phtml

You know if Steve Jobs had had his way we would pay $30000 for junk that was hardly better than an atari or commador game console. Steve Jobs stole the GUI technology from, I think it was, Xerox. Besides I heard the same kind of crying and belly-aching when Microsoft left Dos behind for the Windows 95 and then 98. Get over it Change Happens.

Hi, It is me again. If Mac's and Linux are so great why are you still using IBM's and Microsoft? Hell why not go all the way and use Sparc's and Solaris.
