Don't be late for class: Arc Flash University is now in session

-- Plant Engineering, 3/15/2008

The opening bell has rung for Arc Flash University, Plant Engineering's exclusive eight-month course that will delve into all the things plant floor managers need to know to understand and mitigate arc flash issues on their plant floor.

Sponsored by GE and Hawk IR, Arc Flash University covered Arc Flash Analysis in its March 6 Webcast. That archived Webcast is now available at www.PlantEngineering.com. Registration for the April 3 Webcast on Arc Flash Training is now under way.

It is estimated that as many as 10 arc flash incidents occur each day in the U.S. Even with the documented injuries and deaths that can result from an arc flash incident, there is still a need for more knowledge on the topic. That's why Arc Flash University was created.

Attendees for each session will have an opportunity to ask questions of industry experts and earn continuing education credits through the Illinois Institute of Technology. Attendees at six of the eight Arc Flash University events will be eligible to receive Arc Flash University shirts and baseball caps.

Go online today at www.PlantEngineering.com to register for these important Webcasts.
