Morris, Long launch company, software, partner program

-- Plant Engineering, 3/15/2008

Former Citect exec Wayne Morris has created a new company, myDIALS, which offers hosted software – which shares the company name – within the performance management space. Morris officially launched the company, product and partner program on Feb. 11.

CEO Wayne Morris and CTO Peter Long founded myDIALS to extend operational performance improvement beyond manufacturing, to all areas of business and operations in order to support operational excellence across the enterprise. According to Morris, myDIALS combines manufacturing and business metrics, consistent aggregation and visualization, as well as data analysis. The hosted software provides an interactive display for analysis of operations, production and business metrics as they change.

Claiming capabilities beyond current dashboard technology, Morris said myDIALS provides an alternative to costly and resource-intensive business intelligence systems. By combining business and operational KPIs from heterogeneous systems, it delivers on-demand, actionable metrics and associated Key Performance Drivers to optimize decision making, drive aligned behavior and support company goals. The user interface provides each user with a consistent set of interrelated metrics displayed with contextual visualization to enhance understanding, along with embedded expertise and guided diagnosis to improve analysis.

One of the differentiators for myDIALS within the performance management space is its work with partners. Toward that end, myDIALS also announced its global Partner Program, with nine initial partners in the United States, Australia and Europe. Through its partner ecosystem, the company intends to encapsulate vertical industry expertise, improvement methodologies and guided diagnosis, which can be customized for a specific company and personalized to individual roles.

Initial myDIALS partners include Coherence Consulting, Efficiency Works, Evolving Collaborations, OPX Solutions, Performance Diagnostics Inc., PPC-Consulting, Praesto Lean Solutions, Tolerro and X-Stream Lean, which comprise a range of industry experience such as Six Sigma, Lean, distribution channel performance improvement and asset optimization.

The myDIALS Partner Program is aimed primarily at consulting firms with a performance improvement practice, and includes comprehensive training, sales support, technical support and professional services.
