Planetary/helical gearbox

-- Plant Engineering, 11/15/2007

The MagnaGear XTR can produce torque ranging from 285,000 to 920,000 pound-inches and can be used with a variety of soft-start mechanisms, including variable-frequency drives and fluid complings. Parallel shaft or right-angle configurations are available. The unit’s modular design facilitates reversibility and multiple mounting configurations, and it offers cast-iron housings. Gearing is carburized, hardened and precision ground, and tandem lip-seals are standard. The gearbox is designed to meet AGMA and international standards.
