Small engine test system

By Staff -- Plant Engineering, 6/15/2007

The VersaDyne, an integrated, turnkey system for testing small two-cycle and four-cycle engines, is available in sizes ranging from 5 to 30 kW. It features the versatility of a regenerative ac motoring dynamometer in a package that converts to horizontal or vertical configurations. Equipped with flux vector technology, the VersaDyne’s ac motoring dynamometer offers precise speed and torque control. Its regenerative design returns absorbed power to the plant mains, resulting in minimal heat rejection and little or no need for external cooling. Its motoring capability facilitates automatic engine starting and testing of transient engine loads.
