Manufacturing Summit generates excitement in Chicago April 2-3

Staff -- Plant Engineering, 3/1/2007

One of the keys to a successful manufacturing process is making every day an efficient one. PLANT ENGINEERING Manufacturing Summit April 2-3 in Chicago offers attendees a chance to learn about three crucial issues on the plant floor in a two-day program.

“We’ve designed the Summit so it is easy to attend and provides a large amount of information in a short period of time,” said PLANT ENGINEERING editor Bob Vavra. “We have some of the top industry experts coming in to talk about plant floor management issues with the plant engineer in mind. That’s going to make these presentations focused and effective.”

The Summit features three knowledge tracks:

  • Manufacturing Execution Systems - how they are being used on the modern plant floor and how they can be used to improve plant operations
  • Wireless monitoring - where it works and how it will open new doors of knowledge to better manage equipment
  • Energy efficiency - the hot topic is how best to utilize all of your plant floor utilities. The panel of experts will provide some practical solutions.

Added to the program is a gala awards dinner Monday April 2 honoring the 2006 Product of the Year and Top Plant award winners, and a breakfast roundtable discussion on Tuesday, April 3 with plant personnel from the 2006 Top Plant award winners.

“Getting knowledge about such diverse topics and strategies might take you to three different events,” Vavra noted. “PLANT ENGINEERING has put them all under one roof.”

Registration fees of $395 include all materials and the awards dinner. To register for the Manufacturing Summit, go to www.plantengineering.com/summit.
