Fuses

By Staff -- Plant Engineering, 12/1/2006

High-speed class RK1 fuses are designed to safeguard sensitive power electronics while meeting NEC requirements for branch circuit protection and performing to industry standards of a semiconductor fuse, the company reports. In addition to its cost-effective design, the HSRK fuse is a current-limiting RK1 fuse, facilitating safer worker environments. The larger RK body size and performance of the HSRK fuse under short circuit conditions make it suitable for plant and facility upgrades where arc flash issues exist.
