Scalance W is a family of wireless products that provide access points, client modules and management tools, with enterprise-ready security features. The Scalance W family is designed for industrial use on the factory floor, where configurations demand flexibility in deployment. Access points are self-enclosed devices that provide deployment flexibility and are suitable for both indoor and outdoor enterprise configurations. Scalance W supports the WiFi-protected access specification and the advanced encryption standard for 128-bit encryption, along with MAC address filtering. It also supports the standard point coordinated function protocol and Industrial PCF, which offers predictable response times and roaming times of less than 50 milliseconds.
