Elsevier to publish “ISA Transactions”

By Staff -- Plant Engineering, 9/1/2006

Starting in Jan. 2007, Elsevier will publish “ISA Transactions” and distribute it to an international audience via the market-leading, electronic platform ScienceDirect, which currently targets more than 10 million users.

“ISA Transactions” will cover the science and engineering of measurement and automation. Measurement topics include sensors, perception systems, analyzers, signal processing, filtering, data compression and techniques that support them such as artificial intelligence, fuzzy logic, communication systems and process analysis. Automation topics include statistical and deterministic strategies for discrete event and continuous process control, modeling and simulation, event triggers and equipment, techniques and best practices that support them such as optimization, learning systems, security and human interfacing and training.

“We are looking forward to the journal returning to Elsevier next year,” said Elsevier publisher Christopher Greenwell. “It will both complement and expand our portfolio in the field, and I am looking forward to exceeding ISA’s expectations.”

“We are delighted to welcome ISA back and look forward to developing our partnership to achieve our shared goal of extending the global reach and visibility of ISA Transactions.” said Anne Kitson, Publishing Director.
