Gorbel offers online crane specifications

By Staff -- Plant Engineering, 8/1/2006

Selecting the right overhead crane for any industrial application is important, for reasons of efficiency, safety and productivity. Now, qualified architects and engineers may specify cranes online at the website of Gorbel Inc., a leading North American manufacturer of cranes and hoists.

The resource, which may be found at www.gorbel.com/cranespec, is designed to streamline and simplify the process that architects and engineers must run through in order to specify the right crane for any building or application. It provides a checklist of parameters that must be considered before the right decision can be made.

The resource was designed by Gorbel with the input of architects and engineers on the user side. It permits the download of a three-part architectural specification and can supply an online quote in minutes. It also carries a library of actual case stories and application photos.

Users can configure a crane, complete with drawings and loading information. A “Live Help” option puts them in contact with real-time personal assistance if they need it. Enrollment to the resource is free, and visitors may preview it first.
