Mounting adaptor

By Staff -- Plant Engineering, 8/1/2006

Designed for use on any NEMA or IEC motor frame, the mounting adaptor includes a mounting plate to support the SGR and standoffs to provide clearance for bearing housings or slingers. Ordering the all-in-one package by motor frame size simplifies installation of the AEGIS SGR shaft grounding ring for electrical, mechanical and maintenance contractors. It also streamlines installation of the SGR on new motors by OEMs. Secured with three mounting screws, the sturdy aluminum mounting plate covers less than ½ inch of motor shaft and holds the SGR in place beyond the protrusion. Slots in the plate accommodate different motor designs and configurations, and the kit can be ordered with standoff posts from 0.125 inch to 1.5 inches in length.
