Spirax Sarco acquires EMCO Flow Systems

Spirax Sarco, Inc. has purchased EMCO Flow Systems of Longmont, CO, from Advanced Energy Industries, Inc. EMCO will be organized as a division of Spirax Sarco, with operations headquartered in Longmont. The EMCO network of independent manufacturers' representatives will continue serving existing customers and markets.

"The addition of EMCO complements our existing range of steam flow meters. EMCO also brings proven flow measurement solutions for commercial and industrial liquids and gases that will enhance the application breadth of our process instrumentation product portfolio," Spirax Sarco, Inc., president Mark Vernon said. "EMCO has a rich heritage of product innovation, and we intend on accelerating the development of new products that are already under consideration."

EMCO, founded in 1967, provides flow measurement products for HVAC, commercial and municipal water and other industrial applications involving steam, gas and liquids. EMCO product lines include in-line and insertion vortex flow meters, insertion turbine flow meters, Doppler and transit time ultrasonic flow meters, electromagnetic flow meters, flow processors and temperature transmitters.
