Electronic ballasts

Staff -- Plant Engineering, 10/1/2005

The Microstar family of lighting solutions from Universal Lighting Technologies makes it practical to use electronic ballasts in applications where magnetic ballasts are traditionally installed. The line includes ballasts for 7 to 26 Watt CFL lamps and 8 to 28 Watt linear T5 lamps. Metal can construction allows for cool operation and for case temperatures up to 85C. Rapid Start technology provides long lamp life, and end-of-lamp-life shutdown circuitry ensures safe operation when the lamp fails.
