2004 Top Plants

By Staff -- Plant Engineering, 12/1/2004

PLANT ENGINEERING proudly presents the first plants to receive our Top Plants Recognition, Hewlett Packard Caribe BV and S&C Electric John R. Conrad Industrial Complex.

Objectives of the PLANT ENGINEERING Top Plants Recognition Program are to:

  • Demonstrate the contribution of the plant engineering function in supporting overall plant profitability and performance
  • Identify plants that have achieved a high level of operational excellence
  • Identify best practices in plant engineering management
  • Identify quantifiable levels of excellence for manufacturing/processing plants and the plant engineering function.

Each plant entering the program submits a rigorous questionnaire on its organization, operations, and accomplishments. These submittals are evaluated by the staff of PLANT ENGINEERING magazine through a subjective point system and objective analysis.

Participants in the program receive significant benchmarking feedback data.

The questionnaire for the 2005 program will be available at plantengineering.com on March 1. Our deadline for entries will be August 1, 2005. Do you have what it takes to be a Top Plant?
