Linear speed adjusts mechanically

Uhing rolling ring linear drives with the H-lever option provide accurate slow down and ramp-up to linear speed independently of drive motor speed. For applications requiring deceleration prior to reversal followed by gradual acceleration, the lever is an inexpensive alternative to clutches, cams, and gears. Instead of adjusting linearly with electronic controls and programming, it is done mechanically.

Program analyzes V-belt drives

Drive Pro version 1.0 is a Windows-based program that is user friendly and analyzes V-belt drives with up to 20 pulleys and seven load conditions. The package includes length analysis, drive layout, idler map, tensioning options, drive tensions, shaft loads, and estimated drive life. Various cautions and warnings appear, when appropriate, to help the user recognize potential problems.

Filter maximizes media

Ultipleat SRT filters have an innovative pack design that maximizes the amount of filter media in an element. Combined with stress-resistant media technology, antistatic construction, coreless/cageless makeup and an into-out-of flow path, the result is a smaller, lighter weight filter element that does not sacrifice filter service life. The filter design provides more consistent particulate removal.

Vent protects gearbox

PosiVent replaces a traditional vent plug in a speed reducer, contracting and expanding as needed to let the gearbox breathe without letting in contaminants such as water or dust. It also is able to operate in any orientation, meaning the gearbox can be used in any position. The design includes a single seal, guaranteeing the vent will not leak or come apart over the life of the gearbox.

Hollow bore gearmotor

H Box hollow bore gearmotors have a 1-in. dia. bore hollow output shaft that can be connected directly to the driven load. This saves space and eliminates shaft couplings, chains, or sprockets as well as chain guards. Features include: chill cast bronze gearing; 10, 20, 30, and 60:1 ratios; and synthetic, food-grade oil. The gearmotors are offered in single and three-phase configurations and in ½, ¾, and 1-hp ratings.

System provides machinery monitoring

CMM is a permanently installed, continuous condition monitoring system, consisting of transducers, converters, power supply modules, and combined display and control modules. The transducers measure bearing condition, vibration severity, and temperature. The converters transform shock pulse and vibration transducer signals into 4–20 mA analog signals. The display modules have two input channels.
