Safety networking system

Safety at Work (SaW) system integrates standard mechanical safety devices into most standard PLCs and operates on one 2-wire flat cable that carries power and signal to each safety device, eliminating the need to wire them to the main cabinet individually. Using the AS-i protocol, the system is comprised of a safety monitor, control platform interface, safety input modules, and SaW e-stop buttons. Safety monitor and control platform interface reside in main control cabinet and are responsible for translation of network safety messages. Safety input modules and e-stop buttons interface directly with mechanical switching components in the field. Safety monitor evaluates code sequences learned during startup.
