Pick up chips
- Problem: After drilling and tapping a blind hole, chips are left in the bottom of the hole. Is there an easy way to remove the chips short of trying to blow them out?
- Solution: Hold an allen wrench with a bar magnet.
Lower the long end of the wrench into the blind hole. The chips are attracted
to the wrench and easily removed from the blind hole.

Stuck gasket
- Problem: While working on a piece of machinery that runs hot and needs gasket replacement, the gasket often sticks and must be scraped off. Is there a way to prevent the gasket from sticking?
- Solution: Before placing the gasket, lightly coat it
with some grease. Future removal should not require any scraping.

Tank of air
- Problem: Many times there is a need for compressed air, but there is no source. How can you have a portable source of compressed air in remote locations?
- Solution: Take a used propane tank and deodorize it.
Remove the fittings and attach a tee, quick disconnect, and a tire valve stem.
Use the stem to charge the tank and connect a hose with the quick disconnect
for a source of compressed air.
