Compressor saves energy over wide operating range

By Staff -- Plant Engineering, 11/1/1999

Cyclon 475 SR compressor consumes precisely the amount of energy required to compress a given volume of air, enabling a 75-kW machine to operate at pressures from 75-185 psi with outputs from 65-430 cfm. This previously unobtainable flexibility and operating range is the result of speed regulation from a digitally controlled, switched reluctance dc drive
