The 1SI CANopen plug-in extension module brings CANopen
connectivity to the SIMATIC ET200S distributed I/O system, allowing seamless
integration of CANopen devices into the Siemens automation architecture. The
CANopen module fits mechanically into the standard ET200 system rack and can be
used in combination with all other Siemens modules in the ET200S family.
The module enables the easy integration of CANopen enabled
devices within the Siemens Profibus and Profinet based automation architecture.
Typical applications include machines and automation systems where CANopen
enabled drives and Siemens PLCs are used. The CANopen Master configuration is
made via an external CANopen configuration tool.
