The value of mobility is Webcast topic

Tuesday event looks at how productivity improvements drive revenue savings

Bob Vavra -- Plant Engineering, 10/20/2009 2:21:00 PM

The subject of mobility and information delivery is a critical one as plant managers look to maximize their time and their equipment. The issue of using mobility effectively will be discussed in a Webcast on Tuesday, Nov. 3.
"Uncovering Mobile Value: Defining a Solid Business Case for Mobile Solutions" is the subject for a new Webcast sponsored by Plant Engineering and Syclo on Tuesday, Nov. 3 at 1 p.m. CST.
Plant Engineering editor Bob Vavra will share insights on how successful manufacturers are increasing productivity and maximizing value through the use of new tools and programs.
Syclo executive vice president Joe Granda will discuss metric measurements tools and reporting mechanisms being employed by other Syclo customers to calculate return on investment and the value of their mobile projects. For instance, once mobile has been deployed, a key measure of success is being able to quantify and report on process improvements.
The Webcast will examine productivity improvements, hard dollar cost differences, comparative reports that illustrate increases information being reported and stored in back end systems and more.
