Overview

The 22nd annual Plant Engineering product of the Year awards are the premier honor for new products in the manufacturing market. Here's just a few of the benefits that could be yours:

  • Prominent publicity in Plant Engineering magazine
  • Sales leads to interested potential customers
  • Special award merchandise available
  • Use of the exclusive 'Product of the Year' logo
  • Recognition at the awards presentation during the 2010 PLANT ENGINEERING Manufacturing Summit.

Your new product could be among the 2009 winners -- but only if you enter.

Use an official entry form (PDF). Feel free to make copies of it, if appropriate, but only entries using this form will be accepted. All information on the entry form must be provided. An entry fee payment of $395.00 must accompany your entry.

Application Deadline September 11, 2009.

All materials for the entry, including the entry fee payment of $395.00, must be received in Plant Engineering's editorial offices by 5 p.m. (Central time) on Sept. 11, 2009. There will be no exceptions or extensions.

Any new plant engineering-related product introduced for purchase between October 1, 2008, and September 30, 2009, is eligible.

In the November issues of Plant Engineering, we publish our Product of the Year finalists, as chosen by a panel of industry experts. An email ballot will be send to all qualified Plant Engineering readers to vote for this year's winners.

Gold, Silver, and Bronze winners are announced in each of 16 categories, plus a Grand Award winner. Awards are presented during the 2010 Plant Engineering Manufacturing Summit in April.

Verification of product introductory date. Each entry must be accompanied by evidence verifying when the product was first available for purchase. Examples of such evidence might include, but are not limited to, a dated general press release announcing introduction of the product, sales and promotion materials clearly indicating time of product introduction, copies of internal correspondence indicating product introduction or sales/marketing plans, sworn statement from an officer of the company, etc. Failure to provide such evidence may result in disqualification of the entry.
